Hello everybody,

I am using the student version of Autocad 2015 on my mac. Whenever I open a drawing, I cannot see the dimensions. I can see the lines associated with the dimensions but the actual numbers are not displayed. I have attached a screenshot of the drawing. Please help!!

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi Ak,

You need to fine tune text height in the current dimension style:

Use menu Format -> Dimension Style,

Than select "Modify" from "gear" menu:

Go to the "Text" tab and set text height:

Note that in order to be able to set text height in the Dim Style window, Text Style which you use in this dimension style should have zero height.

Hi Maxim,

Thanks for your reply. I have followed the steps and have set the text height to 3.5 but I still cannot see the dimension text.

Thanks,

Ak

Have you verified the height of the text in the Text Style (menu Format -> Text Style) used in Dimension Style?
It should be 0 (zero).

You can attach the problem drawing here, I'll look at it/

When I open your drawing I am able to see dimension text:

I also noticed that you are using SHX font with additional Asian set - intecad.shx, which I don't have on my machine, so I substituted it with bigfont.shx:

Maybe something is wrong with this extended font on your machine.
