I have been trying to create new linetypes in AutoCAD LT 2013. I edit the ACADLT.lin file by copying a linetype and editing it to make the lintype I want to create. When I try to load the new linetype, I get an error message telling me I have a bad linetype definitiion at line 145. I have tried copying the standard gas line linetype and pasting it into the ACADLT.lin file and just changing the GAS by deleting GAS and retyping it and that will then give me the same error message. If I just copy the gas linetype it will show up in the load window as a second gas linetype. It seems that typing causes some type of error.
I have tried Textedit and Text Wrangler and neither one makes any difference.
I also have draftsight and can do all this to the standard inch.lin file with no problem so I did create the new linetypes in that file. It works on all my Macs.
If I try to cut and paste the linetypes from the inch.lin file to the ACADLT.lin file, I still get the error messages. It definitely is pointing towards typing being the culprit.
Any ideas?
