cannot attach xref

I have never had a problem attaching a reference drawings until today. I tried to load one ("I DTLS1 ANNO") into another ("A501") but have not been successful.  It does not bring in all the drawings that are referenced to ("I DTLS1 ANNO").  You can see them in the little reference manager tool but only the top drawing comes through.  (Be assured the other drawings are attached, not overlays).

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Jeff

@JEFFJW9BB ,

The drawing you want to attach has a lot of missing Xrefs:

Do you have them all at hand?

Thank you.

I have all the files the drawing is "looking" for but as I am learning, AutoCAD cannot stand any change in where a file is located or what connection may already be in place.  I must have moved or changed something, though I don't know for sure what.    I believe my problem lies in there, but am not certain.

To not waste anymore time I took the advice from another posting with a similar issue and simply started over.   I used a fresh sheet and brought everything in in the usual manner. All is well.  I had to reset the paper space drawings but it was not the end of the world.

Autocad always me to go to the brink of disaster, and my patience, but I always manage to find just enough smarts to save myself.  With this forum's help as well of course!

This problem persists, even on a new sheet.

how does one "edit the xref path"?  when I click to reload nothing happens.  I have not moved or changed the name or the locations of those drawings and I see them in the little preview window in the palette but they just do not come back.

There is something wrong with this sheet.  I have not had this problem before.

I have xrefed the same drawing three times to make 3 separate Xclips. Could that be the problem?

More information: When I open the xrefed file and "save" I get a message in A501 saying that the xrefed file has changed and asks me to reload it. Which finally loads everything back in.
Why does it require me to reconnect like this every time I want to use it?

Have you tried to Xref it only once and then use COPY to create copies of the Xref. then you can clip each of the copies.

Xrefed it once and copied as you suggested and then clipped sections out of that single copy. I SAVED everything restarted the machine (just to be sure) and it came up fine without the dreaded "not found files" dialogue box. It looks like "it" did not like the triple pasting.
Thank you!
