Can't find the option to change global scale factor

hi there,

I can't seem to find the function for changing the global scale factor. In the properties tab is the only place where I can change the linetype scale. When I go to line weight settings there is no option to change the global scale factor. All the solutions I found said it should be there.

Also in a book I have which is actually for the windows version it says the global scale factor could be changed through the linetype manager under show details, but I can't find that either.  

hope someone can help me find out where I went wrong.

In AutoCAD for Mac use menu Format -> Linetype... or LINETYPE command to open Linetype Manager.

There you can set global scale factor:

 Alternatively you can change LTSCALE System variable.
