Hi @info7MBKQ
Please verify that you have "Enable dimension input ..." option checked on Dynamic Input tab of drafting settings:
If this won't help, try these steps:
- relaunch AutoCAD
- try to restart your Mac
- Reset AutoCAD to defaults
Hi Maxim,
Please see attached I've "Enable dimension input" but still I've got the same issue.
Let me know please how to solve it.
Do you have this issue in all of your drawings? No, only I've got this issue with rectangle dimensions.
What command do you use to draw rectangle? Don't use any command just click on the rectangle then time the dimensions I want.
Do you see dimension input when you use PLINE command? Yes I do see that.
Have you tried to restart your Mac? I've restarted my Mac and logout still I've got the same issue.
>>>>>Don't use any command just click on the rectangle then time the dimensions
Please provide screenshot of the button you are using.
Plus open Command window (menu Window) and show what you see at the command prompt when you pick on that button.
I only can see dimensions when I first open the AutoCAAD as you can see it shows locked. After first use I can't see anything when I type dimentions.
Please see attached I take a photo of the screen and can't see any dimension size.
It is macOS version 11.3.1 and I've just installed the AutoCAD for Mac 2018.3 but still the same.
I think it is better if you take some screenshots to guild me what to do.
Hi @info7MBKQ ,
AutoCAD 2018 for Mac is not supported on macOS Big Sur (11.X):
So I think this is the problem.
If you have Dynamic Input turned on in drafting settings and use RECTANG command to draw rectangle:
you should see dynamic dimensions after you pick the first point:
Which version AutoCAD is for macOS Big Sur? Please provide the link so I can instal that.
I've followed your instructions but nothing is changed.

.
2020, 2021 and 2022 versions of AutoCAD for Mac are compatible with macOS Big Sur.
If you are on subscription, you can download AutoCAD from your Autodesk account
You can also download trial version of AutoCAD 2022 for Mac here:

Hi,
The dimension is not picking the right objective as I want, could you please guild me how to solve the issue?
When I try to do measuring dimensions from a particular spot, I don't have control over the dimension, it picks up from where ever the dimension icon wants.
I use AutoCAD 2022 version.
Yes, I mean it didn't hook correct point on the object but now I've fixed that from (object snap).
Thanks
I have the same problem.
Every time I press TAB, nothing happens...
I use this on windows without any problem.
