CAD LT 2022 check updates not working and reference manager blank

Working on CAD LT 2022 on MACOS BIG SUR and the check updates is not working, doesn't do anything.

And most important the reference manager. I have a drawing with xrefs open, after I open an Xref in a different window and save it and close it when I go back to the original drawing the Reference manager is blank. You still have the reference and can click them but you can not see them. See attached screenshots. This issue is making working with cad very difficult and slow.

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi @Anonymous ,

Please verify that Notifications for AutoCAD LT 2022 are enabled on Notifications pane of macOS System Preferences.

>>>> Reference manager is blank.

Do you have this issue from the very beginning?

If it worked before, you can try to Reset AutoCAD to default settings (menu AutoCAD LT -> Reset AutoCAD)

thanks for the reply, regarding the updates, it was the notifications.

Regarding the reference manager, I have just wiped out the computer and install MacOs and Autocad 2022, it has been doing it from the beginning.

Where you store references? Are they on network or on local drive?
What if you close drawing with blank References Manager and reopen it without closing AutoCAD? Is it still blank?

They are on a local drive, and I have to close autocad to get it back, it becomes blank for any open file. It just becomes invisible although the info is still there and you can click on the xrefs and reload, detach, etc... but you just don't see it.

It only goes blank if I have opened the xref from the reference manager with the right click menu. If I open the xref by clicking the object with the top external reference menu that shows, then it works fine.

No, I cannot reproduce this problem on my side in AutoCAD 2022 (full version). Not sure, but this could be an issue of LT version.

I have the same issue in Mac AutoCAD LT 2021 and now 2022. Installed newer version hoping it would go away. Intermittently Reference manger goes blank, right click reload all still works. Everything is as it was, no links are visible same as original post.

Hi @grantTU3UM ,

If you migrated AutoCAD preferences during 2022 version installation, try to Reset 2022 version without migrating preferences.
