CAD Crashing when adjusting polyline grips

CAD Crashing when adjusting polyline grips

Hi all,

I'm not sure if this is a common issue or what, but I'm running into a strange occurance when AutoCAD crashes each and everytime I try to adjust the grips of a polyline.  I've been having this issue for a few days now, but if I reboot my computer and open the same file on my Windows partition nothing happens so it looks like it's a Mac only issue.

I'm running AutoCAD for Mac LT 2013 SP3 on Yosemite 10.10.2.  The windows side is 8.1, AutoCAD LT 2013.

Hi,

Could you attach your problem file here?

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi,

Do you have this issue only in one of your files? Or it crashes with all, even new files when you edit Polyline with grips in it?
Have you tried to run AUDIT command in this file?
Can you attach your problem drawing?

Hi,

I'm running autocad 2013 and experiencing the same problem.

I just tried to audit my drawing and it seemed to be successful but crashed about 1 minute after.

Thanks,

Michael.

Hi Michael,

Have you installed all updates for AutoCAD 2013? It is comparable with Yosemite only with SP3 installed. Product Version in "About AutoCAD" should be G.55.M.305

Hi Maxim,

yeah, I'm running G.55.M.305.

The crash only seems to occur when I select a pick point on a line just before moving it.

Thanks.

Are you using grips? Or it is inside MOVE command?
Do you have this issue in all drawings or just in one?

Have you tried to reset AutoCAD?

I'm having the same issue.

I'm running AutoCAD 2014 - I.18.M.282 on a RMBP with OSX 10.10.5.

It happens in all drawings, outside of any specific command, when attempting to stretch a vertex of a polyline using the grip.  When the grip is clicked, the drawing file crashes and AutoCAD stays open but is frozen - requiring a force quit.  I've also audited the drawings and none have any errors.

Any fixes for this?

Thanks!

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

I think that it is because you have not installed updates to your copy of AutoCAD. As I see you have the original version, which is not compatible with OS X 10.10.5,
So updates are here:
http://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad-for-mac/downloads/caas/downloads/content/autocad-2014-...

You need to install them all one by one from SP1 to SP3.
