Base -> From model space

I have a 3D model and I want to make orthographic projections from it.

In windows Autocad, I could make them simply going to layout then pressing Base->From model space.

However, I couldn't find anything similar on Mac.

Can anyone help me with this?

Short video would be really appreciated as I couldn't find tutorials on Youtube any useful as they weren't concise enough.

Hi Yunho,

You are right, AutoCAD for Mac doesn't have model documentation drawing views feature (VIEWBASE and other commands related), you can only view model documentation drawing views created in PC version of AutoCAD on Mac.

But you can try an old method of creating 2D views from 3D objects created in Model space:

it is combination of SOLVIEW, SOLDRAW and SOLPROF commands.

You can create orthographic views, layers, and layout viewports automatically for 3D solids with SOLVIEW command, than create 2D profile images of 3D solids for display in a layout viewport with SOLPROF command and generate profiles and sections in layout viewports with SOLDRAW command.

Here you can find a short tutorials about this process:
