Autocad run on a MacBook?

I’m considering laptops and leaning towards the MacBook Pro M1 pro 16GB. I’ve heard engineers say MacBook is terrible with autocad https://xender.vip/ ?

Im not an engineer, but was hoping to learn cad and other 3d rendering as a hobby.

Thanks all.

I started using AutoCAD LT for Mac in 2016.

Until recently it did just about everything I needed it for....the biggest use being importing vector based PDF line art and converting geometry so I was able to edit & manipulate.

In May I purchased a new MacBook Pro, M2 with 32 GB of ram and just upgraded to the full version for Mac.

Upgraded primarily for LISP/automating drawing tasks & don't plan on doing too much 3D drawing just yet but it is there now at least.

As a hobby Mac would probably be ok but the Windows version offers so much more in terms of capabilities.

MacBook Pro with the M1 chip can handle many creative software applications quite well, though AutoCAD might have some limitations. If you're exploring video editing as a hobby, you might also want to try Alight Motion on Mac. It's a powerful and user-friendly app for detailed video editing, and it runs smoothly on Mac, giving you an excellent editing experience.
