Autocad LT MAC - How to edit the right click comands and add additional tools.

Hi, I have been searching for a way to edit the Right click tools (currently there is ERASE, MOVE, COPY SELECTION....) I want to add some more tools that i use more frequently e.g. DIST / MIRROR / ETC...

So when right clicking over an object currently there is this - http://take.ms/i8ml3 (screenshot) - also attached

I have searched other forums but the nearest solutions i have found is as follows:

Useful to see that need the CUI command but cant see how to apply this change in AUTOCAD LT MAC

Link 1  - https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-forum/customize-right-click-pop-up-menu/td-p/3426383

This seems to be what i need to edit. But in the CUI settings dialog i cant see the options it is referring too ? See attached screenshots

Link 2 - https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad-lt/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2017/ENU/Au...

I found the source of where the CUI files are saved. was hoping to find a way to edit these manually. But seems these can only be edited within the program? if so where? - Screenshot attached

Is this a limitation of the LT MAC version ? or is there another way to do this that im missing?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards

Tom

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi Tom,

This is a limitation of AutoCAD for Mac (full and LT) - CUI command in it is limited to creation of custom commands (macros) and putting them to Menu and Tool Sets palette (actually you add custom commands to Tool Sets palette without CUI command since 2017 version).

You can customize context menus and accelerator keys only by editing .CUI files manually in plain text editor (BBedit, TextWrangler, etc.), but this is not officially supported. You can do this at your own risk.

hi guys, I'm migrating to MAC from PC and so far CAD is the only thing that's causing my hair go gray...  I can't seem to invoke the right-click shortcut menu.  I hit [control] and click, but nothing happens.  any suggestions?  thanks!

Hi Victoria,

Ensure that right mouse button works in other applications on your Mac, then:
Simply use right mouse button.
If you don't see context menu when you right-click inside drawing area and the last command repeated instead, then go to AutoCAD preferences and uncheck "Enable quick secondary click as return key" on the General tab of the Preferences window.
