AutoCAD LT for Mac Trial - The ONLY page I can access is RECENTS please help

Please help me as I only have 11 days left on my trial and 11 days left on my course trial and I have not been able to do anything yet! I cannot even open a file because I have not created any yet.  I have attached photos of what my landing page looks like and what it should look like.

Autodesk AutoCAD LT 2025 for MAC.  

I have no resolve via the chat agent.  This is my issue - I am brand new to AutoCAD.  I purchased the trial software 4 days ago to use in conjunction with a course taught by Audrey Noakes Courses.  I have not been able to use it at all because of the below-outlined issues:  

Whenever I open AutoCAD LT I land on the “recents” page (photo number 1). There are others in my class who are using a MAC.  Everyone else's product opens to the same page as the teachers (see photo number 2 below).  Yes I have tried installing the software, uninstalling and re-installing, clearing my cache and every other "fix" I could find online.  Tech support was useless and told me to post my issue in the forum.  I am losing money every day as I cannot do anything

with this software and the trial periods for my class and the software are ticking away.  Can anyone help?  Thank you!!

Sorry if you've already tried this, but:

The recents page shows the files you have opened in the past, chronologically.
Could it be that you've never actually downloaded and opened a file?

Try downloading the file from your teacher to your desktop.
This should be a file ending in .dwg
Then just doubleclick the file, autocad should launch and open the drawings

Trial versions of AutoCADLT are free. Did you pay for that course perhaps? Or did you just pay for the class and they offered the link for the trial?

If you are paying for a course, then you need to reach out to the Course Provider for your study material and DWG files like they show in their screenshots. No one here can provide you with that.

You need to ask the course teacher and fellow students where you can get the files they are accessing so you can follow along. it appears you are missing a lot of content you did not get from the course providers.

Thank you so much for all of this info. You are correct I did NOT pay for the trial software. My bad. My teacher has since sent me the correct files I needed. I did not know that they came from the teacher, when I opened autoCAD with my partner, all I knew was that mine operated and looked different than his, so I assumed it was a software issue - reached out to help chat on autodesk and the told me to post the question/issue in the forum. I have lost over 10 days of my 14 day trial due to this issue and then the fires in my area and being evacuated and without power so I am trying to get a new trial from autodesk that I can restart at a later date. appreciate your help 🙂
