Autocad LT for Mac- make vector pdf

Anonymous
No aplicable

Our local building department has started using ProjectDox for submitting e-plans for review.  The instructions they provided to customers say that drawings need to be vector pdf, but go on to recommend how to do this using Autodesk Vector Graphic Converter "DWG to PDF.pc3 plotter driver".

I am using a Autocad LT for Mac 2015 and use the built-in Mac method for making batch pdfs from the plot window in Autocad.  Is this making a vector pdf?

HI @Anonymous,

If you do not use transparencies in your plot settings then your PDFs are likely vector based using this driver. Can you attach a couple for me to look at? I can let you know if hey are not vector based.  If they need to be private, please email them to me at john.vellek@autodesk.com and include a link to this thread in your email.

Hi Carel,

AutoCAD for Mac 2015 doesn't have "DWG to PDF.pc3 plotter driver" like Windows version, but you can use any printer installed on your Mac to create vector-based PDF file. You can create such PDFs from Print widow (Use Preview button to open PDF in Preview app, then save it) or with Batch Publish to PDF.

Good catch Maxim!

I missed the version number.  @Anonymous can consider installing a Trial version of AutoCAD for 2018 to get this functionality built-in.
