AutoCAD LT 2016 for Mac - It's really here... finally.

I can't believe they actually released AutoCAD LT 2016 for Mac... and before the end of 2015. Just in time for the Holidays.  Thanks, Autodesk.

I can only hope it improves upon where the last ACAD LT 2015 for Mac Update 5 left off, although that still wasn't quite 100% stable with El Capitan, so I'm quite hesitant to try it given that fiasco. Won't hurt to try it as long as I can install/run both separately with desktop subscription in case there's an issue. Can someone please confirm this? I've downloaded already it.

Why is there no "AutoCAD LT for Mac" discussion forum?

Hi @sapote,

Yes, you can download and run both on the same machine, just not at the same time. You might find this comparison page helpful too. It shows many of the features and the differences from the Windows version.

Thanks, Matthew

Already installed.

FYI: Autodesk needs to update this System Requirements for MAC page; only for full version (no Mac LT), 2015, and still states "...El Capitan is not supported".

Thanks for the heads up @carter,

I have reported this to the AKN team and the page will be updated soon. The system requirements for AutoCAD for Mac and AutoCAD LT for Mac are the same, which is stated near the top: "AutoCAD LT for Mac has the same system requirements as AutoCAD for Mac except that it requires Mac OS® X v10.6.6 or later."
