AutoCAD LT 2013 for Mac

I downloaded an update named SP2.pkg  two days ago (5-12-2017).  For years the autoCAD program has worked fine.  Since that download and install the autoCAD program will not open my saved files.

My work has stopped.  Help, if anyone has experienced this and solved it.  I recently upgraded my system to OS Sierra 10.12.4 and that did not affect the autoCAD performance.

Hi,

There is no update with the name SP2.pkg for AutoCAD LT 2013 for Mac. Where have you found it?

And the man - AutoCAD LT 2013 for Mac is not compatible with macOS Sierra. It could work for some time after macOS upgrade, but then it should stop working.

What do I do now. The Apple people said I should upgrade to Sierra - a few days later I was told by AutoCAD that I should update with: G055.M.208.acadlt.mac.x64.update
I did and now I just get a 1/2 second glimpse of the dwg. that I need to be working on. Then the black screen appears.
What is the best choice here……?

What original problem were you trying to solve with the Sierra upgrade?
LT2013 for Mac will not work in tat OS, you need to "go back" or upgrade AUtoCAD/LT for Mac are your only choices really.

Just to answer you, I upgraded because the guy from Apple said that my system was so outdated that some programs will not work on it. Is there an autoCAD LT for Mac ? I only do two dimensional work.

Which macOS did you have on your Mac before upgrade to Sierra?
Can you rollback your system? Do you have system backup?

So instead you broke AutoCAD by upgrading.

Sadly you are stuck between a rock and hard place my friend: AUtoCAD/LT2013 for Mac does not work in Sierra. No ifs, ands or buts about it, that's just the reality. That combo is dead in the water.

Welcome to the Autodesk community. 

I understand your frustration, if you're on deadline maybe as a temporary workaround you could run a more recent version of AutoCAD for Mac.

The trial is good for 30 days. 

Another workaround could be running the software you have on a Virtual Machine if you're familiar with that setup. Just a suggestion.
