AutoCAD for Mac - Only see partial grainy images when opening and using DWG. files - see images

Hello, I desperately need assistance! When I open any 2D drawing, even the  sample template drawings from the  Auto Cads 2023 own pull down menu I can not see the drawing, just little grainy pieces. I am able to select them and see that every thing is there. See images.  First image is what I can see (and I have to zoom far out to even see much)  . Second Images is the same drawing, It is what I see when I select it. Is anyone else having this problem?? I had this same problem on both AutoCad 2023 and AutoCad 2023LT.  Thank you for any help!!

Hi @studiospears ,

Could this be related to the color of the objects?

Can you share (attach here) the drawing itself?

You may also use SHADEMODE command to check the shading used in the drawing.

Try to set shading to 2D Wireframe.

Shademode worked! Although, when I selected> hidden option the drawing appeared. I still however am having the same problem on the same file when I plot . I feel like I am having a problem with some kind of 3D issue or toggle. These are 2D drawings that I prepared on the 2021 and 2022 versions.  I have gone over all by .ctb files and settings... something is just not making sense!  Thanks for you help

Hi @studiospears ,

You also need to check SHADEMODE inside viewport on the Layout you are trying to save to PDF.

@studiospears We'd like to examine the drawing. Can you please share it? If it is a bug we will fix it in future update.

@maxim_k how do I check shade mode inside the viewport and layout for PDF.?  I tried to do it in paper space and command line said "Shademode" is only applicable in model space.

Thanks!

You need to activate viewport on the Layout to change SHADEMODE inside it.
