AutoCAD for mac not recognising wingdings 2 font.

Hi

Please can someone help me.  I am trying to use wingdings 2 font in autoCAD for Mac 2017.  In multiline text it is visible but once I select it and start typing it goes back to arial font.  In Autocad for Mac 2016 all I did was change the value on the usequartzfont to "0" but this does not work for this version.  I also check my fonts and wingdings is installed.  It works in other software like "word".

Any suggestions?

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi,

Yes, I can reproduce the issue on my side.
Looks like something changed in MTEXT creation behavior in 2017 version and it doesn't allow to use "Symbol" fonts in MTEXT.
At the same time I'm able to see (input and edit) Windings2 font characters if I will create Text Style based on this font and than use Single line text (DTEXT command) instead of MTEXT.

Maxim
