AUTOCAD for Mac lagging after every command

Downloaded AUTOCAD for Mac 2025 onto my MacBook Pro 14-inch, 2021, with 32 GB memory last month. Everything was working smoothly up until last week. Now every time I select a command it lags uncontrollably to the point where I can't use it anymore. Zooming in and out runs smoothly, but when trying to draw a poly line or dim line, for example, it starts to lag. This happens even on new drawings now.

I've tried all the 'fixes' I could find online but nothing seems to work. I've tried:

AUDIT

PURGE

RESET CAD

DOWNLOADED CAD 2024 (still have the same issue)

DELETED RECENT BLOCKS

UPDATED COMPUTER

RESET COMPUTER

I also made sure my computer never uses low power mode on system settings. The only thing I can't figure out is the GRAPHICSCONFIG command, I don't have an option to turn it on or off? I am new to CAD so I could be missing something really obvious. Please help! Thanks :cara_con_una_leve_sonrisa:

What is your MacOS please?

And what changed with your setup or where you store files or how you back them up or your OS/Updates since last week?

Hi @mmi11s ,

In addition to @pendean questions:

Do you use Geometric Constraints in your drawings?

It's macOS Sonoma version 14.4.1.

I changed how my files were stored post this lagging issue to see if it would help - it was previously stored on my iCloud but I changed it to my computer to see if it was a network issue but nothing helped.

I think these constraints may be the reason for the lags.

Try to remove them all and don't use at all.

Do you see lags in this case?

EDIT:

Just thought: Do you really mean Geometric Constraints?
Maybe you're talking about object snaps?

Can you share one of your drawings in which you observe the lags?

I was talking about object snaps, my bad! Just deleted geometric constraints and nothing changed, still lagging as usual. I also tried using an external mouse to see if it was a trackpad issue but still lagging just as much. However, I used AUTOCAD on a separate computer and the drawings were fine? So it confirms that the issue is with my computer specifically and not the drawing. I'll attach a drawing anyways to see if I'm missing something.

Hi @mmi11s ,

There is nothing special in your drawing. I used AUDIT command and it found 15 errors in the drawing database, but I'm not sure that these errors could affect AutoCAD performance.

Do you use external references? I see one Xref, but it is unreferenced (= erased).

Can you remember what happened during this time on your Mac?
