I installed autocad 2014 on my mac, but when I open the program this message appears:

The Directory my be locked by another process or have been set read only. Directory : '/users/macbook' . Please correct this problem and press ok to exit the application. I did as this link says :

http://upandready.typepad.com/up_and_ready/2012/09/autocad-lt-alert-the-directory-may-be-locked-by-a...

But when I try to open autocad later, the message appears again, preventing me from using AutoCad . I do not know what to do. Can anyone help me?

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi,

Could you post screenshot of the "macbook" folder Get Info window with Sharing and Permissions section visible?

Could you also execute this command in Terminal app:

ls -l -G /Users/

In Finder select menu Go -> Utilities, find Terminal application, double-click to start it, than copy the above string "ls -l -G /Users/" without quotes and paste to the Terminal window, hit Return, make screenshot of the Terminal window an post it here please.

You should see something like this:

What are you supposed to do after you take screenshot and post it?

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

I wanted to look at the "Permissions" attribute of the Home folder, which looks like:
drwxr-xr-x
on my screenshot.
