Hello AutoCAD community,
I'm reaching you today becauseI'm encountering some issues with AutoCAD 2018 for Mac, tried to reach the support team a month ago and still had no answers unfortunately.
Well let's start with a bit of context. As part of my education I have to work with AutoCAD and for that I signed-up to an education license with who I downloaded AutoCAD 2018 for Mac. Installation worked like a charm, started to work with the software no issues at first glance. Then I went to school with my MacBook to follow the class with and to my surprise AutoCAD did not start and crashed. I thought maybe it was related to my installation so I went to my Autodesk account page and figured out there was an update 2018.2 that I installed. Still same issue when I was in class and then I realized that it was related to the network cause I don't have any network in class when I'm always in WiFi at home. Several test confirmed the issue and I tried the different things proposed by Autodesk or tips found here. I Ended with full clean uninstall and reinstall using the 2018.2 installer but well still doesn't work.
Let me explain the exact steps :
- Open AutoCAD 2018 for Mac.
- Small loading window.
- Welcome window where I can select a file format or switch to learn or extend.
- Select a file format let's say acadiso for the example.
- The menu appears with File Edit View Insert etc...
- Stay stuck with only the menu at the top, no windows at all and the spinning wheel endlessly spinning...
My equipment is a MacBook Pro 2018 running on Mojave.
I'm not sure where to start or where to continue to resolve this issue...
By advance thanks a lot for whom is going to help me in my distress call
