Hi Vasco,

Do you have this problem from the beginning?
If it appeared suddenly, then: have you tried to relaunch AutoCAD? Restart your Mac? Reset AutoCAD preferences?

Which Mac model do you have?

Maxim

Hi Maxim,

I got all these problems with my new Mac Book Pro (15-inch, 2017)

Mac OS Sierra 10.12.6

3,1 GHz Intel Core i7

16 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3

Radeon Pro 560 4096 MB

Intel HD Graphics 630 1536 MB

Thank you,

Vasco

By the way,

I've reinstalled Autocad and cancelled Preferences, now I'm using Autocad 2017 but as you know I can't for example use the Flatten command as it is only on 2018 version...

Thank you,

V

One more info,

Schermata 2018-04-24 alle 12.40.14.pngwhen I open a new file (acadiso) even if I'm on millimeters (Units) this is what I see (image attached)

But in the attached image I see 2018 version. I don't see issue with grid in the image. Have you managed to resolve it?
2. >>>>even if I'm on millimeters (Units) this is what I see
I don't see anything strange in the attached screenshot. Everything seems to be OK with units - decimal with 4 digit precision.

Hi Maxim,

I was mentioning units in mm just to explain that whatever I see on the screen (image attached) there is a kind of pixel shadow in the background of the polyline (like if it's in a different scale but it's not).

Tks,

So you want to say that in 2017 version on the same machine you don't see any display artefacts, while in 2018, you have this "pixel" glitch?

Do you use external display? I believe - yes. Isn't it?

Try to set system variable LINESMOOTHING to OFF.
Do you see glitches in this case?

You may also look at this topic:

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-for-mac-forum/autocad-2018-graphics-artifacts-on-an-external-...

The topic is in Russian Forum, the OP had the same problem as you with external monitor attached.
And here you can find solution for that topic, provided by Wei:

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-for-mac-forum/autocad-2018-graphics-artifacts-on-an-external-...

Or, you can try to play with LINESMOOTHING system variable I mentioned in my prev post.

Hi Max,

I did verify and is a monitor problem, great! But if I can't upgrade now where do I find linesmoothing? Can't find it in graphconfig.

Just type LINESMOOTHING at the command prompt and hit Return, then type OFF and hit Return again.

Dear,

I found another trick, enable a two-view viewport and reduce one

I hope it can help as long as Autodesk fixes (I hope very soon) this bug.

Best regards

Delio
