AUTOCAD 2015 for mac can't open default template

I've a regular student license for autocad 2015. I installed it several times, I also did the clean Unistall following the instruction, but I always have a big problem: I can't open the default templates. Every time I try the program closes. I tried opening from downloaded files but it didn't work either. I don't know what to do. I can only open tutorials and sheetsets, but I can't open templates, that I see black in the preview (see the pic).

Please help me, it's driving me crazy. (my mac is a OS X 10.9.5)

Thats odd, by any chance did you change the file path where the templates are stored?

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

What happens if you choose "Cancel" from the Welcome screen? Are you able to work in AutoCAD?
I mean:
- are you able to create new drawings with NEW command (menu File -> New)?
- are you able to open existing drawings with OPEN command (menu File -> Open)?

I tried, it does the same: the program closes without any message of error.

I don't think so, but I can check. Now the templates are in: Library>Application support>Autodesk>local>Autocad 2015>R20.0>enu>Template

They are all in black in the preview.

So you are not able to work with AutoCAD at all?

I can only open tutorials. So basically I can't do anything on it.

Tutorials are not drawings.
Try this:
- create new account on your Mac - you need regular account, not Guest
- login to this new account and try to launch AutoCAD, than create new drawing or open existing.
Does it works?

So you are unable to work on any drawing files at all?

Has this happened in the past with other student versions of AutoCAD?

Were you able to try the suggestion made by Maxim?
