I run autoCAD 2012 for mac (student version) and recently my cursor has begun to jump around when trying to select a point. This is very frustrating- especially for detailed work where there are a number of lines close together!
I have tried turning OSNAPS off/ only having one option highlighted, no help.
I have also tried making the file smaller by moving parts into a new drawing/ REGEN/ opening and closing/ restarting my computer... all with no joy
This is really beginning to be a pain and makes everything take about three times as long as it should do
PLEASE HELP!!!
Hi,
Please verify SNAP settings (not OSNAP) you have in drawing.
If you have SNAP ON - the toggle you can find on Status Bar:
and Legacy option in SNAP command is turned OFF - the cursor will snap to grid (visible or invisible) only if you asked to pick point on screen. If Legacy option is ON - the cursor will snap to grid every time (including selection of objects)
You can turn OFF Legacy behavior of SNAP via SNAP command:
Command: SNAP
Specify snap spacing or [ON/OFF/Aspect/Legacy/Style/Type] <5.0000>: L
Enforce snap behavior during point acquisition only? [Yes/No] <Yes>: N <- Type N here
Or you can turn SNAP OFF if you don't need it.
