AutloCAD LT for Mac 20015 won't start after registering software

Hi there,

 

So been running the trial version for 29 days all good then purchased subscription to continue running software, opened the trial version entered in the serial key and product key followed the process through to the end. Recieved activation code later via email went to add code in and the AutoCAD software wants to go through add serial process again and again will not allow software to fully load. Disconeected the intenet to see if a manual option existed to add the activation code and recieved an Autodesk Licence server is not available message no other options to proceed. Now everytime i try and run AutoCAd this it will not go past this screen even with the internet connected. There was aboslutley nothing wrong woth the program before ran brillinalty beofre i went and tried to activate the software!

 

I have tried removing and reinstalling CAD and resetting the licence as per other posts but no luck.

 

Any ideas

Hi Chris,

 

Have you tried:

 

"1. Uninstall AutoCAD

2. Make a backup of the folder /Library/Application Support/Autodesk/ADLM and then remove it (please double check you don't have any other Autodesk product installed before doing that. )

3. Reinstall AutoCAD, you'll be prompted to re-activate the product and do it following the screen instruction"

Thanks for the quick reply, i have cometley removed AutoCAD went through and moved unistalled items to trash incase i need them later, and then installed a fresh copy i was then able to reach the activation page where you in put the activation code did that, then it requested login detail to Autodesk which you cannot bypass and then thereaftew you are presented with the autodesk licence server is offline etc screeen which i included above. Tired those terminal comands in the post that you mentioned but they do not appear to have worked. I have lodged a request with the subscription side awaiting a repsonse they intially came back with an activation code only.

 

Do you feel it is a Mac issue or CAD issue

I feel it is Autodesk activation server issue. But could be also your Internet connection issue. Do you have some kind of Firewall enabled on your Mac? Maybe you are using Proxy server?

so I have tried turning off firewalls and and even using another intenet connection that bypasses the router incase here was a setting there that may be blocking something. to my knowledge im not using a proxies....very frustrating!!

One thing to add which i have noticed is after removing the last version of AutoCAD the 360 app remained (this gets installed when AutoCAd is installed) and I cant seem to remove it to the trash bin either...

Hi Maxim,

 

 

Wow that was a great find so check proxies setting they were all good nothing was checked there, no appps listed in firewalll so added them in for good measure and to allow traffic through, but then i get greeted with the a renew your licence screen all the time now not the autodesk server connection lost screen but i have a 12 month subscription so i guess i need to go back to the subscription service and see if they can help i really thought that might have been it then!!

Just to conclude on this string after much removing and reinstalling etc etc non of the suggestion worked straight away/immeadilatly after rebootiing. I left the computer for a couple fo day and tunred loaded up Cad to get a copy of the error message to send to Autodesk and it worked so i'm of the oppinion the whole issue of failed connection etc was more than likely due to subscription server issues and perhaps not related to the software or mac configuration.  I will be able to check this theory in a months time as i will need to scrub main drive and start again with fresh copy of OS as Autocad has to be force quit after every session so somdething is missing or not right never had the issue wth the trial version. But for the time being i have Cad working and need it in this state to complete a job once done i'll tidy the OS up.
