Dear,

simple question. When can we expect M1 compatible version of AutoCAD? Running AC with Rosetta 2 is kind of laggy and low fps. Currently deciding if I should keep the Macbook or return it, because I use AC all day everyday.

Thanks in advance.

We have the MBA almost same as yours. I don't see AutoCAD behaves differently from on Intel based Mac. I don't know how bad it shows on you machine. I can see a little slow when moving cursor in canvas than on other UI. It could be improved in future, but it is just how AutoCAD currently works on Mac, and it is not specific on M1 Mac.

Hi @ohelcl

Can you create screencast to show the problem you have here?

If yes, please show us the performance in 2D and in 3D.

Okey, and could you compare it with window version? Is there a notable difference? You can be right and it is normal for Mac OS, but I have never experienced Mac AutoCAD and coming from windows it is big difference for me.

Here it is, but as it is shot with low fps the problem is not really visible, but it gives you better idea when the problem occurs. When I am moving the view in 2D field it is low fps, when I start to move the view in 3 dimensions it smoothens up.

In my case, if I test my standard drawings, I don't see any difference in graphics performance in AutoCAD on Mac (both Intel and M1) and on PC.

Sorry, but this screencast does not give a good idea of the difference between 2D and 3D performance. In my opinion, it is the same in both cases.

Another one attempt.
Can you check System Variable DTTEXT ?
If DTTEXT=1 in your case, try to set it to 0 (zero).
Do you see any difference in performance with DTTEXT=0 ?
