Area is not Calculating on Macbook

I am able to use the area tool on my macbook. Unlike all the videos I've seen and instructions I have read, after completing the area to be measured by pressing or sometimes not pressing enter, no area calculation is given. The green shaded area just disappears and there is no measurement calculation anywhere.

I've seen in the videos it calculates the area as you progressively assign points. When I try it I see now area being calculated or populated after entering all the points and hitting enter. Does anyone know how to address this? Thank you in advance!!!

Do you use Autocad for Mac?

Hi @Anonymous ,

If you don't use Dynamic input - open Command window and look at the results of AREA calculations.

If you use Dynamic input, verify that it is turned on:
