Architectural dimensions not working despite units set to architectural in Autocad LT 2025 for Mac

Hello,

I am using Autocad LT 2025 for MAC. I am entering feet and inch dimensions as I have for years to draw polylines. However, though the units are set to architectural, It will only take dimensions in inches without any fractions, and will not accept dimensions in feet and inches. Help!

EDIT: To clarify. I am trying to enter the length of a polyline when I draw it, not use dims on an existing polyline.

DIMSTYLE command settings are never influenced by whatever setting you choose in UNITS command, they are totally unrelated. Why not try using the former to set the dimension output you desire instead.

Hi @dwalcottZZCS4 ,

On my side I don't have any problems using >>>this<<< input method:

What do you mean by 'entering dimensions'? You just write the text with the text command? Or are you trying to edit existing dimensions that were created by the Dim command?

Thank you,

See below screen shot. Same command structure for some reason doesn't work on my end.

@dwalcottZZCS4 Can you share your DWG file here?

See atatched. Thank you for looking into it. I am having the same issue if I just open a new file too. It is worth noting I am a student and on an educational license.

Thanks for the DWG file @dwalcottZZCS4 It seems to be correctly set for what you want (and what @maxim_k is showing in the screenshot above).

What does your LT2025's ABOUT command indicate is you true and exact version number?

And what is your MacOS exact version please?

Side note: why is your insertion scale set to feet if I may ask? Your DWG file is based on inches units. Any blocks you insert into this DWG file may get auto-scaled incorrectly for you.

WRT insertion scale this is a biproduct of me panicking and trying different options to maybe have it work. It is such a bizarre issue iʻve never experienced before.

AUTO CAD Lt 2024 AND 2025 DON'T ALLOW A "dimstyle" command - so there is is that.  I'm having same issue with windows and my units are set to Architectural 1/16 and zero precision a and AutoCad LT doesn't allow for the property manager to come up.....so there's that so can't set it further.

They show up as decimals and no "unit" select is available
