ACAD LT 2017 for Mac and OS upgrade query

Hi all

I have searched around, but couldn't find this particular topic, or in fact an ACAD LT for Mac forum

I am currently running OS 10.10 Yosemite as I missed out on 10.11 El Capitan because ACAD LT for Mac wasn't ready.

Now the OS is at 10.12 Sierra and I understand that the new ACAD LT 2017 will run happily on it, so I would like to update everything

My question is - should I updated the OS first or LT - not sure it will make any difference but don't want to run into issues.

Definitely update OSX first in my opinion. I would update operating system first then all applications afterwards.

I assume 2017 runs perfectly ok on Sierra ?

Hi @ian,

I agree that updating the OS first makes the most sense. I would drop Sierra on and run for a day or two making sure that you have no issues with applications or peripherals such as printers or pointing devices. Once you are happy that things are running correctly, go ahead and install AutoCAD 2017 for Mac.  I have been running it on my Sierra Mac and have not had any issues so far. (knock on Wood)
