I am using AutoCAD LT 2018 on a MAC. The one key shortcuts are not working. For instance when I hit "L" and enter nothing happens. I cannot draw a line. I have to type out "line" then enter. Also, it says it is "unable to find dictionary. Could not start speller." I already typed in "DCTMAIN" and "enu". That didn't fix anything. Do you think the whole program installed wrong? If, not how can I fix these things?

What is your MacOS?
Have you tried to reinstall it or at least reset it yet https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad-lt-for-mac/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/201...

My MacOS is High Seirra.

I did reset the AutoCAD LT 2018. It said it was “successful” but when I opened the program nothing had changed. I still get the dictionary not found message and no one letter commands work.

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi Audrey,

Please verify that you have the following paths specified in AutoCAD Preferences:2018-01-23_22-06-44.png

The difference should be only in AutoCAD application name. I have full AutoCAD version, but you have AutoCAD LT, so in your case there should be "AutoCAD LT 2018" instead of "AutoCAD 2018" (in my case).

It appears to me that you may have forgotten to copy the path that I should verify. If you did paste it, I cannot view it at all. I only see the “Please verify…AutoCAD Preferences:” then a lot of space then “The difference should be only…(in my case).” Also, while you are replying to this would you please explain where I will find the "AutoCad Preferences” in order to verify what you are asking me to?

There should be a screenshot in my reply. Do you see it?

(look at the screenshot of my post in the attachment)

As you cannot see inline pictures in my post I attached it to this reply.

To open AutoCAD preferences window use menu "AutoCAD LT 2018" -> "Preferences...", then select Application tab  and open the "Support file search path" tree to see what happens on your side.
