Wrong Wire Numbering!

Hi dear Experts ,

i have a Sheet attached and i'm wondering what mistake i did , when AE Does Automatic Wire Numbering on this page it's always Wrong ! 😞

i Ran DWG Audit and Electrical Audit and nothing found (Except some Simple and not related Problems like : no connection at wires)

and another question is what should i use for Wire End Termination or Wire Line CAP ??? is there any Tip & Trick ? as i know IEC standard have some Symbol for this Situation but Autocad Electrical doesn't have these Symbols.

with best regards,

Arian-A

Everything looks OK to me. What's wrong with how ACADE is numbering these wires?

We're not mind readers, we don't know how it's supposed to look if you don't tell us.

Hi dear @jseefdrumr

sorry about short description , look :

first of all , i used Wire numbering Format " %S.%N " with sequential "01" increment "1"

in this sheet 8 as you see ,my first problem is  wire numbering Start with 08.04 !! (isn't it supposed to start with 08.01 ?!) and another problem is missing of some numbers :i have 08.04 , 08.05 , 08.07 , 08.09 , 10 ,11,12,.....22

missing: 08.01 , 08.02 , 08.03 , 08.06 , 08.08 !?

and another problem : its .04 then .05 then should be .06 but its .07 and about .07 , .08 !

autocad electrical in this sheet doesn't read sequential numbering order ! and this happens when i draw 4 wire bottom of my sheet !

if you look to another places , its fine ( .10 , .11 ..... .22 read AE Sequential Numbering order and also in another sheets every thing is ok ) i even deleted this sheet and places component again and this happened again .

and i noticed this happen when is use Bullet (Dot)  inside number Format ( %S.%N) . it sometimes goes well if i use without bullet (%S%N)

i don't know what mistake i have done before ! maybe deleting wire number without using AE Commands , if my files is damaged how to repair ?  and about character Bullet (Dot) , am i allowed to use Bullet inside Wire number Format?

with best wishes ,

Arian-A

Try to use the surfer tool to search for wire number 08.01 There MIGHT be that this wire number is in use at another sheet.

You should also run the DWG Audit, to remove sero-length wires etc. that might cause strange behaviour.20221121 085227 thlct.png

Hi dear @rhesusminus

I Found 2 Issues in my Project ,  a While Ago i was New to Autocad (Noob!) and started testing some things and changed some default values in blocks and Symbols and changed them , i fixed and repaired them today and Everything is ok now !

But about your Solution ! i noticed on thing and thank you to Remind me . i really forgot to check project with "AESURF" and after checking i noticed weird thing with wire numbering in Entire Project (whole wires in Project)  in situations where i put Source Arrow , Those arrows will move these numbers to everywhere i put Destination arrow and IF i delete wire numbers in place i put Source Arrow , Wire Numbering won't Work As before! ( i told it with confusing )

for example : wire numbers in wires with source arrows  are 08.01 , 08.02 , 08.03 and these numbers are transferred to sheet 9 , 10  ,  if i delete wire numbers in Sheet 8 without updating wire numbers transferred to SH.9 , SH.10 , and go start wire numbering of Sh.8 again , those Wires won't get Wire Numbers : 08.01 , 08.02 , 08.03 and wire numbers in SH.8 Start with 08.04 !! and this is a Bug i think . in this situation , your Solution (Using AESURF) will help So much ! unless i delete Wire Numbers in Whole Project and start again (except Fixed Wire Numbers).

With Best Regards
