When only "Multiple BOM" is inserted in Layout, the Main Component disappears from the Bill Of Material

When we have a Component with the Multiple Bom occupied by one or more parts, and then insert only the "Multiple Catalog [+]" in the Layout via the "Schematic Components", the "Main Part" will no longer be shown in the Bill Of Material.

(PUR_PBOM/Bill of Material via Panel Reports)

Is this a feature or a bug?

We often use this approcad for e.g. Cables, where we put the Cable Gland as a "Multiple BOM" on the Cable symbol.

Then in the Layout we put the Foot Print for the Cable Gland in the Cabinet to illustrate the look of the bottom plate in the Enclousre/Cabinet via the "Multiple Catalog [+] option.

When we do this, the product info for the Cable will no longer show in the BOM.

It will how ever show up in the "Cable Summary"

(But the problem also affacts other components besides Cables that only normally will show up in the BOM)

Anyone encountered this before and/or have a solution?

Yes

The BOM picks up Schematic components that are not in any Layouts just fine.

Problems first arise when putting part of the component in an layout via the "Multiple Catalog [+]"

I believe this is due to how AutoCAD Electrical checks if a component is in the panel layout or not.
If only one of the parts from the "multiple" parts is inserted in the panel, AutoCAD Electrical seems to believe that ALL multiple parts are inserted.
Hence, when creating the BOM it only extracts those parts actually inserted in the panel, and as they exist, it won't extract anything from the schematics.

The solution here would be to use assembly codes instead of multiple parts. Or switch to a different software.
