Wanted: IEEE Icon Menu Images

Happy New Year All -

We're new ACADE 2025 users and are setting up our library based on the IEEE supplied library. I found out that the icons used in the Icon Menu are in a .dll (or maybe .slb) file. Are the individual icon images somewhere in the installed files? We'd like to copy and modify those images to be consistent in the way that the icons appear. Thanks for your help!

Hello @ty_thomas, Happy New Year!

You can use the Icon Menu Wizard to browse to the location and change the icon menu images.

1. Run the Icon Menu Wizard

2. Select the Icon menu file (Schematic/Panel) and click on OK.

3. Right click on any icon you want to modify and click on properties.

4. You can browse and select a new image file.

If you hover over the location, it will also show you the full path of the icon.

Thanks for the quick response and I understand that part. I was hoping to find the images supplied with the 2025 version. They appear to be embedded in a .ddl or .slb and not in the default path for the images. Only images I've created are there.

@ty_thomas You'll need to find and use a 3rd party DLL / SLB image extractor tool for your need, there is not "folder" for the ones you seek.
