Title Block Swapping issues with attributes

I am having problem with swap title block ACADE 2019 , i am trying to reuse existing projects for my new projects, for that i am trying to copy the title block from existing project drawing and did few modifications in logo, rev and description etc., and save the same as new title block for my new project.

Now i am trying to swap the new title block with the existing one for all the drawings in the projects. The title blocks are updated, but the new attributes are over write with existing one and also few of the deleted attributes in the New Title block will remain in the updated blocks. Seems some issues with the attributes ? 

Kindly please assist to resolve this issues.

Hi, Many Thanks for you to update the drawing.

Yes i did the same just before your message, but you please look in to it PMU SIRIM 1 which you send to me, the many attributes are blank, for example, "TITLE", "DESCRIPTION" & "DRAWING No" are blank, i understand this is because of deleted the TITLE_TEXT, but i need those values which i given before delete the TITLE_TEXT.

What i mean to say is, i want to update the Blank areas in PMU SIRIM 1, which would be reflect the same attributes in Updated Block. Hope you get my requirement. 

As per the "updated block" dwg you sent to me the values are old, i want to update that while swap title block of PMU SIRIM 1.

I am also tried edit the blank areas of PMU SIRIM 1 using block editor and try to swap the block, what are the text i added in the blank areas will overlay with existing texts in the updated block dwg.

Please let me know, how i need to update the blank areas, which has to update in the updated block.

The drawing you sent me has TITLE_TEXT block and  PMU SIRIM 1. In the extracted  PMU SIRIM 1 also has TITLE_TEXT.  I suggest to keep  TITLE_TEXT on the drawing as it has intelligent texts (ie you can double click and edit them). But delete TITLE_TEXT from the PMU SIRIM 1 (see the one I sent you). As you are changing only logo on the PMU  SIRIM 1, you dont need to update or swap the TITLE_TXT. This can be done project-wide in one sweep. But make sure there is only TITLE_TXT on each the drawing you are going to update.

You refer the TITLE_TEXT block as same as the one file name Updated Block.dwg which i sent to you ?

Meaning that, you suggest the TITLE_TEXT  (Which deleted before) remain unchanged in the PMU SIRIM 1 ?

I am confused here, you are refering the PMU SIRIM 1 or Updated block dwg ?

The drawing going to update has, both TITLE_TEXT & Frame. But i need to update, both logo and description text.

I think you will have two options:

Option 1 - delete TITLE_TEXT from the drawing and keeping TITLE_TEXT in the PMU SIRIM 1. 

or

Option 2 - delete TITLE_TEXT from the PMU SIRIM 1 and keep TITLE_TEXT on the drawing. You need to swap TITLE_TEXT separately with modified TITLE_TEXT . 

Option 2 saves time.

Yes after delete TITLE_TEXT from the drawing and keeping TITLE_TEXT in the PMU SIRIM 1, will update all the necessary information in the Active Drawing. It means i need to delete TITLE_TEXT from each drawing in the project Manually or any easy way to delete the TITLE_TEXT in the all drawing in the project wide ?

or

In option 1: you need to delete  TITLE_TEXT manually. 

In option 2:  to swap  TITLE_TEXT,  follow the same steps for PMU SIRIM 1.

Option 1: Need to delete TITLE_TEXT manually in 200+ drawings in projects ? Oops it takes more time..

Option 2: Could you please guide me step by step, i didnt get what you mean.

As you aware you cant have two same TITLE_TXT blocks on a drawing, it will cause overlay. Did you try title block updates anyway? I don't know how your project manager is setup but does it update the border correctly including the sheet  number changes?

I tried the title block update, but inside the Line 1, Line 2.... etc., there is no text. But in my drawings all have TITLE_TEXT. Can you please advise, what cause to not shown my description and other texts while doing title block update ? Can you guide me, how to do that pls ?

Yes the borders and sheet nos updated correctly, only problem is TITLE_TEXT overlay. Can you suggest any other ways to swap the text at once for all sheets, instead of delete the TITLE_TEXT in all drawings. 

I knew, am asking basic things. But new to ACADE, so kindly please support.

Description fields are normally updated from the drawing and project descriptions. Check those fields by right clicking the drawing > Properties or Project > Properties. 

Ref. swapping the Title_txt, I just checked both Title_txt blocks in PMU SIRIM and in the updated drawing. Both TITLE_TXT blocks are same, so there is no need of swapping.

To fix the overlay, you need to keep only one TITLT_TXT block in the drawing. I also checked title blocks, they have a lot of unnecessary TB blocks inside. I suggest, till you master the ACADE basics on title blocks, just keep only one TITLE_TXT by removing the duplicate TITLE_TXT block. I would like to help you but I don't have time to go through the acade basics. Best of Luck!

Hi, I am sorry to disturbed you. Can you please tell me how to update Descriptions like "Title" , "Drawing No" & other information in block ? I tried drawing properties and update title block, but not update in PMU SIRIM 1.

I have attached the link below for title block updates, actually this is really good tutorial to learn the basics of the title block, hope this will be very useful. There are also a lot of tutorials available in youtube to learn acade basics.

Saying that it may not update your blocks if the title block was created incorrectly, in this case you need to revisit your title block or rebuild from scratch. Try it how it goes.
