I'm taking a trial run with Autocad Electrical 2016. On start up (after I found out how to get rid of the Start Tab) I am confronted with "SYNCHRONIZATION WAS NOT SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED", without any hint of what might need to be done to correct this. Just what is trying to synchronize? Does it have something to do with the linking with Inventor projects?
Hi haiqing,
that support link appears to be broken.
Also, I can't find the system variable AEEMXDATAUPDATEMODE (see below). Lastly, I've attached all products I have installed. I have no plain 'vanilla' AutoCAD installed.
I got this issue on a new install of 2019 on Win10
AEEMXDATAUPDATEMODE seemed to correct the problem, fingers crossed
Setting AEEMXDATAUPDATEMODE to 1 on the ACADE command line resolved this issue for me.
AutoCAD Electrical 2022, Inventor also is installed but no links between them.
I also received this message; however, I'm running ACADE 2024 only (no other Autodesk software). It popped up after I customized my own profile and I added a network location for my template folder. If I restore the path to the original location then the message goes away. I verified that my network folder exists and is accessible. Does anyone know what is causing this and/or how I can change the template folder to the folder on my companies network drive?
If I dismiss the error the "Drawing Template File Location" does indeed change to the network location and works as expected. Also, if I change AEEMXDATAUPDATEMODE to 1 it will get rid of the sync message. Has an actual fix been made? Changing the AEEMXDATAUPDATEMODE variable to 1 still seems like a work around not a solution.
Thank you for your help!

Reporting this still happens with a clean install of ACADE 2025 (on a new laptop) when changing the Drawing Template File Location. I've updated the sysvar for now and it seems to have at least got rid of the error. Seems like a band-aid though, you're right.
