Hi there,
just wondering if someone could point me to the right directions to figure out how a standard symbol for a residual current circuit breaker should look like according to the IEC standards. I some of you have a symbol to share or some sort of litterature that covers this, I´d appreciate any help in this matter.
Thanks, Gary
The manufactures typically have a IEC diagram in the data sheet or right on the device. for example AB has this
Hi and thank´s for your input.
I have also noticed this in the catalogs and it´s showing the multiline layout of the symbol. Do you know if it´s from the IEC standard ?
I would also like to know how these breakers are shown in a single line diagram. Do you have an example for that as well?
Thank´s again for helping out.
Regards, Gary
you have to check which standard your using
IEC 60617 was withdrawn last year but is still widely used
the one i use is EN 61346 or the DIN equivalent DIN 61346
i do have single lines but not for that style of breaker in another standard
Hi,
the IEC60617 take only care of the naming convention of components. The main difference between IEC2/4 and the IEC60617 is that components are tagged with a two letter code in IEC60617 but only one letter in the IEC2/4 libraries. The symols are otherwise the same.

Saw the IEC symbol from https://symbols.radicasoftware.com/category/circuit-breakers
