Replace Terminal Block Numbering

Hi,

I would like to ask if anyone has a better way of replacing terminal block numbers. Currently I am doing it manually each at time, which is time consuming and ineffective. Hope someone can share a better way of doing it. Thanks.

I am trying to change the terminal block number from X10-34 to X12-34 and X10-33 to X12-33 and so on..

You can always export to / import from spreadsheet...

There are several tools relating to renumbering terminals available apart from the Export/Import method already mentioned that can do this...

Make sure your Menu Bar is turned on. (Down arrow on the QAT and turn it on as needed)

Go to Component-> Terminals -> Terminal Strip Utilities

There are 4 tools here that deal with renumbering terminals.

The one I use the most is the Terminal Renumber (Pick Mode). This asks for a starting number and then you just pick the terminals in order on that dwg. Go to another page in the project and it will have the next number as the default for the starting number. Word of warning, it will not discriminate on the terminal at all. If you click on one from a different strip, it will renumber it.

The project wide renumber is useful as it will renumber an entire strip depending on the terminals location in the dwg and your sort order settings.

There is also the Terminal Strip Editor (TSE) that can renumber terminals.

Start the TSE and select the terminal strip you want to edit.

Using the move tools, arrange the terminals in the required order.

Select all the terminals and Right Click on one of them.

Go to Terminal and then select Renumber from the fly out menu.

Set the Start Number and other options and click OK to do the renumber.

Once you click OK to exit the TSE, ACADE will automatically open the associated dwgs and change the numbers in the schematics.
