RCD symbol??

i can't find RCD symbol in autocad electrical...should i create it??

I believe they are asking about Residual Current Device circuit breakers.

These were previously known as Earth Leakage breakers (ELCB).

 

There is no symbol to match these breakers in the provided symbols.

 

The Australian/New Zealand symbols is a Circuit Breaker symbol with an Earth Arrow connected to it by a double line as shown below.

There are two other variations shown in the standards, one with an I for current operated and one with an U for voltage operation.

Apart from that, there is no other block in the standards for RCD or ELCB as they used to be known.

You can download the IE standard compoenents in autocad.

 

I however create my own. You need to be sure to be in check with the standard IEE component symbols in order to look professional which can be found all over the internet. Most RCD's used now days are a combination of a RCD and MCB together creating an RCBO, it's a residual-current circuit breaker with overcurrent protection. I would imagine this is what your company is using. This is what the european standard symbol for an RCBO is;
