"No LINE "wire" tied to this Source/Destination marker"

When creating Source/Destination to different pages, I get this error "No LINE "wire" tied to this Source/Destination marker" when I return to the Source wire to Edit Component, this error pops up, and after selecting OK, and editing Source to complete connection, wire number changes to "???".  I've tried deleted all componets and wires and started over with no results.  Help!

Be sure that the line you use t represent a wire is on a actual wire layer.  The default layer for a wire is WIRES.

Sorry, no success yet. I'm a new user so sure I've missed something. It's only on a group of prints within the project i'm working on and other prints within same project, no problem, works every time.

Are you sure that the layer the wire is assigned to is listed under the Create Edit Wire Types list?

One thing that has worked for me in the past with troublesome signal references...

Try deleting both the signal and the source. Then, as Doug suggested, verify that the lines are on valid wire layers. Purge blocks from both drawings. Then run AEREBUILDDB in one of the drawings. Finally, recreate the source signal with a brand new name (don't use an existing one from the list). Save. Go the other drawing and place your destination. Hopefully that works.

I have noticed wonky behavior sometimes with signal references. When I can't get them to act right this little process usually does the trick.

Quick question, are you seeing other parts on your schematic acting odd.  Do your components and wires use sheet/line references on the side of the power rails for naming?  Or do you only drive the wire numbers with the sheet references.  I am wondering if something has happened to the properties such that ACE is just not seeing them as ACE sheet / line references anymore.  I might try eraseing the sheet/line reference numbers and reinsert them without rungs or power rails.  Just one more thing to check.  Good luck.
