Project Setup Questions from a New Autocad Electrical User

I have been using Autocad for a number of years now and I am just now starting to use Autocad Electrical.  I have some questions regarding proper project setup.  For Example, I have a project we will call J2500.  The J2500 project has multiple commodities to it.  J2500 Hood, J2500 Fender, J2500 Liftgate and J2500 Bodyside.  The title block will be mostly the same for all this project, save for a few variables that would change between commodities.  I am not sure where I would define the title block so that it would be available for all the commodities.

I would appreciate any resources/references that you may have that will teach me how to properly set up a project in Autocad Electrical.

Any additional information you may need, please feel free to ask.

Thanks in advance for your help and suggestions.

AutoCAD Electrical comes with some sample projects (usually located in: C:\Users\UserName\Documents\Acade 20XX\AeData\Proj) that you can start playing around with to get better understanding of AutoCAD Electrical projects.

Basically you will create a project using Project Manager named J2500 and you would be able to create sub-folders inside the project for J2500 Hood, J2500 Fender, J2500 Liftgate and J2500 Bodyside.

Creating a Title Block would be similar to how you would do in regular AutoCAD, Create Attribute Definitions and create a Block.
AutoCAD Electrical however allows you to map the attributes in your title block to Drawing and Project Properties using Title Block Setup.

It will prompt you to modify the default project .wdt file, You can select your title block in the drawing and map the desired attributes. You have project level attributes (Project Values) that will stay same in all drawings like Project Number, Project Name, etc. and you can have drawing level attributes (Drawing Values) that can have different values for each drawing like Drawing Description, Sheet number, etc.

You will also have a projectname_wdtitle file in your project folder that you can use to change the Generic LINE1, LINE2, etc. to custom labels.

Once you are done with the setup, you can use Project Manager > Right Click on Project Name > Descriptions to add values to the project.

Then run the Title Block Update command to update the Titleblock on one or all drawings.

You can try to get started with one of the sample projects and reply to this thread if you experience any specific problems or have more questions.
