Page Setup Default Setting

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hello,

I'm trying to get the page setup to default to my created 'BTR' under "NAME" as it has all the parameters set that I'd ever want to use for plotting and batchplotting (see first attached picture)

Secondarily if I'm able to set 'BTR' as the default, will it commute that setting to the batchplotter/publish automatically? (See second attached picture)

How do I safely do this?

Do your drawings already have the BTR page setup?
If so, you can easily set it to default with a script, that can be applied to all drawings in a project using the Project-wide utilities.

-PLOT
No
Model
BTR

Yes
No

You can also set up the entire page setup using a script, and set it as the default:

-PLOT
Yes
Model
DWG To PDF.pc3
ANSI Expand B (17.00 x 11.00 Inches)
Inches
Landscape
No
Window
0.0313,0.0313
33.4688,22.4271
Fit
Center
Yes
Monochrome.ctb
Yes
As
TEMPTEST.PDF
Yes
No

You must change the coordinates below the Window-command match your drawing frame. Also, make sure the OSNAPCOORD settting is set to 1 when running scripts.

This is the project-wide utilities, if you don't already know:

The script files are attached.

The publish command will automatically use the "default" page setup, saved in the drawing.

Typically you would setup everything like this in your drawing template file .dwt and any new drawing using that template would contain your BTR page setup. IMO just having a drawing with all your page setups shared on a network works best, that way everyone can import from it as I mentioned in this thread: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-electrical-forum/plotting-projects/m-p/9049773

Best regards,
