In the past I only had AutoCAD LT so I used SS manger to control my sheet, grid, job numbers in electrical drawings.
If you have use SS Manager you know it is easy to assign sheet numbers to drawings.
See below.
and this part of my grids using ss manager.
Can these SS manger numbers be controled by AutoCAD Electrical Project Manger?
Is there a way to used the SS fields with AutoCAD Electrical Project Manager?
Any suggestions?
Thank you,
There's no link between the project manager and the ssm. To get the best experience with AcadE, just start using it as it is supposed to be used.
I know there's lots of things that seems to be easily solved with basic AutoCAD functionality, but AcadE don't support meny of those commands/functions.
Like dynamic blocks and multi-line attributes.
So again, just learn how to work with AcadE.
The sheet set Sheet Number that I used a field to show up in my drawings.
Can Project Manger recognize that set sheet number when it plots drawings?
My initial guess would be... No.
The sheet number is saved in a special block in the drawing, named WD_M.
You can export all drawing settings to EXCEL, number the files there, and import it back to AcadE.
If you look at both for the same file structure shown below
The SS number must be stored in the *.dst file.
For Project Manager the Sheet number is a drawing property.
