I recently had a crash and since then most fonts in my drawings (all drawings, not just those involved in the crash) are not rendered correctly. This makes it very hard to read anything without zooming way in. When zoomed out to see most of a drawing page I either see solid blocks or very hard to read text. The fonts seem to be drawn as strokes rather than as screen fonts. I don't see any problems with fonts in published drawings (PDF). Looking into suggestions in the knowledgebase I see similar things but nothing that seems to describe this exactly. I have used the STYLE command and found that most of the fonts I use do not show up in the preview pane. Only a few SHX fonts like romand.shx show in the preview pane along with all of the Trutype fonts. All of the fonts I use exist in the AutoCAD fonts directory.
Ragged-looking text:
Non-working font romans.shx
working font romand.shx
