Are you now able to access the Icon Menu and select the Thermostat from the appropriate section?
Is it only the The Thermostat that is causing this error or are other components doing the same?
Is the component you are trying to install a custom component or one of the standard ones that comes with ACADE?
Are the search paths pointing to the correct directorys to be able to find the components. See attached for clarification.
Under schematic Libraries, you should have at least one entry. This entry should point to a directory full of block dwgs. It is these files that ACADE can not find according to what you are saying.
Check to make sure that the entry is correct. If it is not correct, select it and then click 'Browse' on the right, then navigate to the correct directory where all these blocks are located.
Note that I have my blocks located on a server to allow everyone to use the same blocks. This was setup manually and you path setup should still be as it was when ACADE was installed.
If the path is correct then you might not have permission to access the directory that the blocks were placed in by default.
For this, you will need Administrator privileges and it is best to do this whith only Windows Explorer running.
Go to the directory containing the library directory (IE the one where the directory shows as a folder) in Windows Explorer and Right Click on the directory name. Select the Security tab on the dialog box and then select your user name from the list.
The permissions should have a tick next to every entry under 'Allow'. If any of the first 6 entries are under 'Deny', then that will contribute to the problem.
To fix, click on 'Edit' while your username is selected, and then select the 'Full Control' checkbox under the 'Allow' heading. This will automatically change all the other settings to 'Allow'. Click on 'OK' and then 'OK' again to exit out once all the changes are made to finish.
You may have to restart your system at this stage to allow everything to propogate through the windows settings.
