Hiding unwanted lines when printing

hello

been editing a drawing trying to get the hang of using autocad 2016 at college. 

Could anyone tell me how I print without the scaling lines all over it?

also has anyone a recommendation for converting it to PDF?

any help much appreciated.

Hi there

OK, so by what you have said I am going to assume those are real lines you have drawn in to scale from one drawing to another.  That being said, type LAYER on the command line, create a new layer called something like SCALE, on the layer properties click on the little printer icon to turn it off.  Put what you want on that layer and you will see it in the drawing but it will not print on paper or if you create a PDF.  What ever is on that layer will just not transfer to any PRINT function.
