Frequently, ACE will turn FILEDIA off while it is doing something and then turn it back one when done. If it gets interrupted during this time and you get shut down, FILEDIA is left at 0.

Many of us have added this {"FILEDIA" 1} to the wd.env to force it back on. (It is located under this heading "* Project and drawing-related paths and settings")

WD_OPEN_DWG,(command "_.ZOOM" "_E" "FILEDIA" 1)

You can edit it in Notepad. Just do it while Autocad is closed.

Did you also remove the asterisk in front of that line?
Maybe you can share a screenshot of that part of the wd.env file?

Only thing I can see is WD_OPEN_DWg , not WD_OPEN_DWG

Does it make any difference?

This will only apply when you open the drawing from the project manager, by double-click or right-click+open

What is not working?

Isn't that code executed? Isn't any drawings opened? Any error messages?

Press F2 after opening the drawing to see the command line history.

This is what mine says after opening a drawing:

Opening an AutoCAD 2018 format file.
Regenerating model.

AutoCAD menu utilities loaded.
AutoCAD Electrical menu utilities loaded.
Command:

Autodesk DWG. This file is a TrustedDWG last saved by an Autodesk application or Autodesk licensed application.

Command:

Command:
Command: (PROGN (COMMAND "ZOOM" "E")(SETVAR "FILEDIA" 1))
ZOOM
Specify corner of window, enter a scale factor (nX or nXP), or
[All/Center/Dynamic/Extents/Previous/Scale/Window/Object] <real time>: E
Command: 1

I think your missing a comma after your closing bracket:

Are you able to OPEN any drawings?

We're really trying to help you here, with a minimal amount of information.

If your car won't start, repeating "my car won't start" isn't really helpful to the ones trying to help you 🙂

It looks like you are also missing the space between [command] and ["_.ZOOM" "_E"]

testsubject_0-1647534644038.png

The command line will not start without this space.

This is what the whole line should look like.

WD_OPEN_DWG,(command "_.ZOOM" "_E" "FILEDIA" 1), AutoLISP prog or expression to autoexecute when dwg opened from PROJ dlg

Also, to be clear, this only works if opening drawings with AutoCAD Electrical Project Manager. If you try to open a dwg from Autocad's "Open" command it will not work.

You may want to look at this article as well, it is an alternative option that will work whether you use the Project Manager or not, and also works in other flavors of ACAD.

I've used both methods.  I prefer the acad.lsp approach from the article you linked, it's just seems to be a little more seamless to me.
