Exported Names Mixed up in AutoCAD Electrical

Hi Autocad wizards,

To provide some background, I utilize AutoCAD Electrical for drawing electrical panels, and the CLIP PROJECT 8.9 software is employed to print stickers with equipment names and clamp markers for all the equipment. However, I have encountered a significant problem when attempting to export component and terminal names to a spreadsheet.

Whenever I perform the operation "Export to Spreadsheet" and choose either "Components" or "Terminals," the names appear jumbled and require considerable time and effort to sort them out correctly. This issue has been causing delays and inefficiencies in my workflow.

I would greatly appreciate any ideas, suggestions, or solutions.

Many Thanks ❤️

the export to spreadsheet orders everything as per the order it was put into the drawings, so usually a jumbled mess!

Personally for my labelling I do some processing of the export file to create the lists I need, different marker types, order etc. I use vbnet to do this. The result might be quite specific to you.

you could look at the autocad reporting, you will get different list for different reports, you can sort these in the reports by tag etc so should be able to get a more ordered list

What does it look like? Excel have plenty of options to sort data.
