Currently our controls members do their work on non-Vault connected laptops.
I am developing an upgrade and would like to get ACADE laptops setup like I do the Inventor Laptops with duplicated working folders that mimic the Vaulted work structure.
This will require that the installation is such that the software runs wholly from our working Vault folder structures and NOT from the users' profiles. We would like for each ACADE project to be a subfolder of the Mechanical machine it is for.
- First example issue: The Project Database location
We can develop a Project in a properly defined Vaulted working sub-folder, but the created Database still gets produced in the user's profile. I would like to get this mdb file creation to be under the actual project folder (so they travel around together: Laptop to Vaulted workstation and then be able to check into Vault).
- Next are some of the Project Settings (paths)
Initially some of these paths are pointing to the user's profile. This even though I have edited the running profile to not search those paths and have replaced them with local paths.
If I go to the users document folder and delete the ACADE 2023 folder, it then finds the local copies of these files I am trying to get it to point to.
How do I get these to always look at the local files and NOT in the users profile?
