Autocad database

Hi there
I want to create a secondary database but I don't want to be entering or manipulating the ACCESS database that autocad already defines, but rather from an excel or another access book to be able to introduce a format and link it to the access that autocad manipulates and be able to update it automatically from the external link, I feel like it's a little confusing at the time of writing it

what I have in mind is something like this.

In case it is not possible in Excel, I would like to know if from the same access I can relate 1 book with the default_cat and when editing the book the families of the default_cat are automatically updated and the references are loaded into the autocad automatically without manipulating it

I hope someone gives me an answer, thank you

To create a new database, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Menu: Projects > Extras > Create Project – Specific Catalog Database.
  2. You have the option to create a separate database or one specific to the current project. Add the necessary information.

You can reference both the main database and a secondary database in your project. However, to the best of my knowledge, exporting to Excel or updating via Excel may not be possible. Please note that there might be alternative methods I'm unaware of.
