AE table for 4-port Junction Box

We are using a Turck VB 4X1N-x which is called a "4-port Junction Box with Cable Home Run M12 eurofast I/O Ports" by Turck.  My question is what table would this part best be put under. I have searched through the database for this type of product and could not find anything similar. Right now leaning towards C0, DN, DB or making a new table. 

 

If anyone has used these junction box/blocks how did you handle this.  What PTAG1 suffix was used?

We've used a nearly identical Turck unit before, and we frequently use similar modules on all our machines.

I have always just dumped these into DN, which is device network, and that suits our purposes. Our logic is, these units are really just facilitating a connection between devices; they aren't doing any processing or decision-making. So in that sense, they are part of the communication networks used by the devices. We also lump all of our Ethernet stuff in the DN family, and since many of these types of modules are Ethernet-capable, this fits even more.

you can make your own as well...

add table to database (projects menu, extras...).

Use the prefix you want to use for the blocks.

Create the blocks with that prefix...

I put it under CO for connectors. When I draw the schematics, I use the >> connector symbols to denote the connections, I label the connector something like JB1-PORT 1 and show the pin number. Then on a separate drawing I show the block with a table (run from the connector reports) to show all the ports and pins with the wire numbers, colors, etc.
