Add Connector Pins adding wire connections to wrong side of connector block

So I have a "Receptacle Only" connector that I need to add a pin to, but using the "Add Connector Pins" command actually adds 2 wire connections to opposite side of the connector block from where all the other wire connections are, and it also adds 2 pin number labels outside the connector block. How do I get ACADE to just add another pin like every other pin in the block? Do I have to erase and recreate the whole connector? It does span multiple drawings so I'm hoping to avoid that, and the "Add Connector Pins" function should work.

Which version of software are you using? I did some experimenting from scratch in 2020. The receptacle I added has wire connections coming from the left but I didn't add wires (the symbol is all alone). Adding pins just followed suit.

AutoCAD Electrical 2022.

It seems to be a bug that has something to do with flipping the child connector while inserting it on a different sheet. I ended up deleting and re-inserting the connector with the new pin from scratch.
