ACE2017 tools are confused after WIN7 update

Hi there,

Has anyone else seen this kind of horror show? This happened a couple of times over the last year or so and the only fix I have found is to use the Reinstall tool.  This is what I am looking at.  Last Fri afternoon I am shutting down the work station, Win 7 Pro 64-bit, 8 meg ram, Lenovo Think Pad.  As it is shutting down I see a message that Updates are being installed.  Start the workstation Monday morning and see the Updates are finishing the install.  Now I restart the workstation and start ACE 2017.  Try to edit a connector pin from PJ1204 to PJ1205.  I click OK on the edit window, the window closes but the tag does not update and the object remains selected until I use one of the Regen tools in which case it is de-selected but the tag does not change.  Odd thing is I can edit the children but not the parent.  The first screen shot is what I see on the command line when the tool does not work.  Also, I click on the Swap tool, select a schematic symbol and on the command line I have the UNDO tool activated, see second screen shot.  The UNDO arrow on the ribbon is greyed out.  Activated other projects that were OK last week and all have the same issues.  It does not look like the monitored system variables have changed.  Any suggestions other than Re-install?

Its windows update happened to me last week with WSCAD crashed on start just stuck in a loop on the splash screen  reinstall was the solution

Happened a few months ago with Eplan but unlike Autodesk Eplan immediately issued a warning of which security update to uninstall until they patched it

So it’s almost certainly windows updating a common component to ECAD solutions which probably is the C+++ Or the SQL functionality

So with typical Autodesk approach unless hundreds of users or a VIP user has this problem then it’s a cost of doing business with Autodesk !!!!!!!
